Acid vs Alkaline Diet
There has been much talk about switching to an alkaline-based diet. All food contains acid and alkaline elements, however it is the degree of the acid and alkaline ratio that determines whether it sits in the acid or alkaline scale. This is determined by the reaction it has in the body. Acid type foods in excess allow our body to be in an inflammatory state. It is this inflammatory overload that causes our bodies to work in overdrive- bad news to us as it can be blamed for colds/flu, weak immune system, gas, bloating, indigestion, fatigue, sleeplessness.
